Position: Accountant

Location: Irvine (on-site)

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

As the Staff Accountant, you will be the key driver in performing reconciliation for one of our largest accounts. Additionally, you will work with a team of talented accountants toward month end close, audit support, and any ad hoc projects as assigned. This role will challenge your attention to detail, along with your ability to filter through large data sets. Ready to join a winning team?

Job Duties:

  • Conduct high-volume full-cycle bank reconciliations for the credit card accounts.
  • Train cardholders on relevant procedures including managing expense reports, providing invoices/receipts,
  • Proactively communicate with cardholders to ensure reports are completed accurately and transactions are booked to the correct account.  
  • Utilizing Excel to maintain fixed assets rollforward for depreciation and prepaid asset schedule for amortization.
  • Responsible for certain areas of the month-end close process including journal entry preparations (e.g., accruals, prepaid and reclassification, depreciation and amortization etc.) and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Assist with Ad hoc and special projects as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required).
  • At least 2+ years of general accounting experience.
  • General understanding of US GAAP.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience working in QuickBooks or similar ERP.
    • Any experience with SAGE Intacct is highly valued.
  • Ability to utilize advanced Excel features such as V-lookups and pivot tables.
  • A collaborative team player working on projects as needed.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
